2009 Colgate Country Showdown
Wed July 29, 2009  inside the Smith County Ag Center during the Smith County Fair
All selected contestants must be registered with official form and $15 fee paid to SPI promotions (Nashville)
by 5pm Friday July 10, 2009

DO NOT SEND MONEY UNTIL SELECTED-sending money does not guarantee a spot in contest

No acts will be able to enter after this date or at the show on July 29th.
We will have a maximum of 15 artists performing

 all entries must be received by:  FRIDAY JULY 3, 2009

AND CAN BE EMAILED AS PDF.
 

1.  We will take as many entries as submitted and thru a panel- narrow contestants to 15.

2.  There is no age restriction.

3.  Act will have time to sing one country song (can include bluegrass, southern rock or positive country)
4.  Acts may either sing with guitars, banjos, mandolins or keyboards (must provide own instruments.

     No drums or drum kits  will be allowed at this event.

     or acts may choose to use a backing instrumental track with minimal backing vocals.
     Acts may bring a guitar player or keyboard player to accompany.

5. Judges will be a panel of Nashville music business professionals (to be announced later)
6. We will have a known act (to be announced later) performing between last contestant and announcement of
   our local winner.

 All decisions WUCZ/Wood Broadcasting , Inc./Banka Media, Inc. final.
